In our June Business Meeting, we heard from our guest speaker, Dr. Angeline Woodson, about the importance of self-care when it comes to our mental health. It's important to remember that we all need to take the time to look at ourselves and our wellbeing to boost our quality of life, restore balance, and educate ourselves.
Dr. Woodson shared with us some tips on how to look into our own lives and suggestions for how we can all integrate self-care into our daily lives. She shared with us a tool called the "Self-Care Wheel" from www.olgaphoenix.com that has several examples of self-care from six main categories: Physical, Psychological, Emotional, Spiritual, Personal, Professional.
